Colt David raced 15 yards on a fake Field Goal attempt for
a touchdown after receiving Matt Flynn's over the head pitch.
South Carolina didn’t fold after David’s stunning 15-yard
touchdown run. But it certainly rendered the Gamecocks and their
coach wobbly.
“They got me, you’re right,” Spurrier said afterward when asked
about the play and his worth-a-thousand-words reaction. “That
fake field goal, we worked on it in practice every day last
year. So we’ve seen it. We hadn’t seen it this year. We hadn’t
worked on it this year. They executed it very well.
“It worked perfect. Obviously when they work, it’s a good call.
